That's me
My name is Andy, I am married and have three children. I live in Switzerland in beautiful Thurgau on Lake Constance. Professionally I am CEO of two software companies. I love to build a fire and smoke a fine cigar. From time to time I sit down at my grand piano and write songs, which I produced with musicians from StudioPros and release under the name XIRPIT. I grew up in a family with three siblings. From early childhood I was introduced to the Bible, but I must admit that for a long time I could do nothing with it.
Like many teenagers, I had my own interests and was searching for my place in the world. But at the age of 16, something happened that was to change my life from the ground up. I realized that my existence could only find true meaning and fulfillment if I put my complete trust in Jesus Christ.
It was a poignant moment when I realized that I could not find true joy and peace through my own efforts alone. I realized that I needed a Savior who could forgive my guilt and give me hope and a new beginning.
With my songs, I share my experiences, thoughts and realizations that I have gained on my journey of faith. I want to encourage, inspire and help others discover and strengthen their own faith.
In my 2014 song "All I Want," I express that everything I am and have is ultimately a gift from God. Every breath, every ability, every experience - they are all a sign of God's immeasurable love and grace. This is also the first song I published under Xirpit. Here are the lyrics:
